The Verdict Is Out

After weeks of cover letters, interviews, thank you notes and extreme stress chaos, I'm excited to finally know where I'll be at for my summer internship and what exactly I'll be doing. Drum roll please, I'll be spending my summer in Ft. Worth, Texas at...

I will be doing an ACUHO-I Internship at TCU working with Summer School Housing, Fraternity/Sorority Life Projects and other initiatives on campus within student affairs. I am ecstatic to be joining the TCU staff for the summer and already know it will be an amazing experience. It was definitely a tough choice to make, but I know that this opportunity at TCU will be the most beneficial towards my professional goals, and I think that the campus community will be a great fit. Plus...I get to go to Texas!

Don't worry I'm also already planning my road trip out there. My bff from home, KMK, will hopefully be driving out with me and then flying back home. It's about a 17 hour drive, so we'd have to stop over night but I know we'd definitely have a blast! We've talked about a cross country road trip forever, so here will be a half CC adventure. Also, one of my good friends from USC will be a Southern Methodist University for the summer, so I'm excited to have her close to me out there as well.

Now that I can finally breathe and focus on something besides my internship search, it's time to really get my focus back to school and work. The next few weeks until Spring Break are going to be absolute madness. Now that I know my dates of work for this summer I've realized I won't go home to MD again until Thanksgiving, and after SB I won't have time off until Fall Break in October. But it will be worth every bit of exhaustion!

Off to Jacksonville, FL this weekend with the Beta Theta Pi officers and advisors here at USC for their Keystone Leadership Conference, similar to Sigma's Officer Academy. I'm excited to learn more about Beta, meet some staff and connect with other chapters to get some great ideas for recruitment here.

This has been such a wonderful week thanks to so many blessings and amazing people in my life, thank you to everyone for all of your support and encouragement over the past month. Greatly looking forward to this summer...yee haw!
