While I know some people have been up in arms, I honestly could care less about Google Reader as I've probably looked at it about once in my life. Unless you seriously follow hundreds of blogs (in which case I think you need to calm down and go play outside a bit) I think it's perfectly manageable to keep up with a list of links in a blog scroll, which was my old school way. I for one really enjoy seeing someone's actual site, it makes for the true blog reading experience.
Then a while back I discovered bloglovin' and it changed my life. It's such a clean and manageable way to keep up with blogs you enjoy reading. One of my favorite features is that I can quickly scroll through posts and if I don't like the initial "blurb" I just keep on moving. Second, when you go to view you're seeing the actual live blog page within the bloglovin' frame so I still get the "true blog reading experience."
Bloglovin' has made it ridiculously easy for you to switch to their platform and will even let you import all of your blogs from Google Reader if that's how you've been operating. In addition, the app for BL is awesome and I use it to scan through and keep up with blogs during the day. It's clean and easy to look at. Another favorite feature of the site is that if you go to someone's page you can click on "similar blogs" to discover more sites that you might enjoy.
So moral of the story, if y'all are currently just following via GFC and Google Reader hop on over and follow me on bloglovin' sometime between now and July 1st!
Have you used bloglovin' before this blogger drama came around? What are some of your favorite things about the site?
ps. head over to Mal's blog today for an awesome picture of me presenting to her 5th grade class earlier this week, they were too adorable but I think I'll stick with college students!
